Wine Tasting in Buenos Aires

Argentina is the largest wine producer in Latin America and the sixth largest producer in the world. Traditionally the wine is grown in the provinces of Mendoza, San Juan, La Rioja, and Catamarca. Salta has high altitude vineyards around 1800 meters above sea level. More recently, production began in Patagonia. Some famous varieties are Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Torrontés.

Argentina Wine

When you think of Argentina, wine may not be the first thing that springs to mind, but making and drinking wine is deeply rooted in the Argentine soul. Though considered part of the “New World”, Argentina’s winemaking industry dates back almost 500 years and the country is now the world’s 5th largest wine producer. We hope our ever-evolving guide to Argentinian wine will help you learn more about Argentina’s unique viticultural qualities (including its climate, geography, and altitude), its key vineyard regions, and distinctive style of wines. Enjoy!

Tango Evening at the Tango Club: The Milonga

Have you ever wanted to take your first tango lesson at the mecca of Tango, Buenos Aires city? Not only that, but we can also combine it with a tasting of Argentinian wines with snacks for each wine in a nice winery in San Telmo. Then we will go to a milonga, a traditional tango club to take a tango lesson and listen to the music and the musicians. On certain days, the typical tango orchestra plays live.

The Passion for Tango

Whether you want to learn to dance tango or just sit back and enjoy a tango show. There are also places where the traditional tango orchestra plays live and people dance. The options for this tour are two: To visit the old Bar Los Laureles, founded in 1893 as a Pulpería (bar and warehouse of general items until the beginning of the twentieth century), in the neighborhood of Barracas, where in the vicinity of the bar lived tango musicians who become then famous, therefore it is a place with Tango history. The other option is the Milongas with Tango orchestra that plays live for people to dance.
